Discipleship Ministry
Equipping The Saints (ETS)
Ephesians 4:11,12
Equipping The Saints is a worldwide discipleship training program in over fifty countries and adopted by numerous denominations, mission agencies, and churches. The program, founded by Missionary David L. Dawson (Executive Director), focuses on training disciples to help fulfill Christ’s Great Commission to “…go and make disciples of all nations”.
This program is based on book materials that are simplified and have scripture-based guided content that is focused on the stepwise application of biblical principles in a believer’s process of growth. The program applies to any born-again Christian willing to grow deeper in their walk with the Lord.

Our Concern
While we celebrate the work of our Lord Jesus Christ who, through His Spirit, caused growth of many believers who accepted to be disciples, walking in daily communion with the Lord and devoted in teaching by facilitators of Equipping The Saints, we are still concerned by the ever growing need of discipleship.
Developing disciples who are ready to submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ has been a major concern in the contemporary Christian world yet is has been commanded by Jesus Christ on Matthew 28:18-20 to “Go and make disciples of all nations…”. The growth process has been missing among many converts which has led to the now common trend whereby the work of the Great Commission has been left exclusively to “full-time Christian workers” because they are regarded to have special training., The objective of ETS is to instill in every believer the vision of the Great Commission and equip the saints so as to make them appreciate their responsibility for doing the work of ministry and edifying the Body of Christ. We are convinced that this conference will provide a platform for you to know more about the program and how you can be involved.
Through analysis of information gathered from our field discipleship missions and interactions with a number of Pastors, we express great concern as how discipleship is perceived and assumptions made over many circles about maturity of believers in the body of Christ in Kenya. We are also concerned about the ever-increasing growth in the need for discipleship going unnoticed or simply ignored hence creating vulnerability among many believers. Finally, it is our joy and satisfaction to witness disciples take up responsibility as God’s stewards by walking in obedience to their calling in the work of ministry. Having full realization of the significance of their labour, they are ready to be actively involved in execution of the mandate of the Great Commission.
Our Purpose
Our purpose is to ensure that the saints in the body of Jesus Christ understand that they need to be equipped and that the gifted men and women of God focus on discipleship as a main pillar for growth of the church both spiritually and in numbers. To work with church leadership to practically implement discipleship in the shortest time with measurable results in full awareness of the great need for the saints to be equipped thoroughly for every good work. In summary, when saints thrive, they are built up in the unity of Christ (spiritual growth), and God adds to their number through their obedience to serve our Lord Jesus Christ (numerical growth).
