Chaplaincy Ministry

Bringing Comfort and Support in Times of Need

The Chaplaincy Ministry at East Assembly Church has been a beacon of hope and support for the past 39 years. Led by Rev. Chaplain Margaret Kihoro, our ministry provides hospital visitations, home care, grief counseling, and financial support to our members in times of need.

Hospital Visitations

For nearly four decades, the Chaplaincy Ministry has been visiting the sick at Kenyatta, Mathare, and Spinal Injury Hospitals, bringing comfort and support to those in need. Led by Chaplain Meshack at Mathare Hospital, our dedicated team of six volunteers regularly visits the sick, offering prayers and encouragement.

Home Visitations

In addition to hospital visits, our ministry extends care to church members who are sick or their relatives through weekly home visitations. These visits, conducted by our associate pastors and members of the hospital visitation team, provide spiritual and emotional support to those in need.

Counseling and Bereavement Support

The Chaplaincy Ministry offers grief counseling to bereaved members of the congregation, providing psycho-social support during times of loss. Led by Rev. Chaplain Margaret Kihoro, our ministry offers counseling sessions on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, with additional support available for emergency calls.
